Trail Ride Tours to ‘The Barn’

We offer professionally guided tours on horseback to ‘The Barn’.  This magnificent old building is a local piece of history situated on our property set on a picturesque creek flat amongst peaceful surroundings.

On arrival your level of experience will be determined, (we cater for both riders and beginners) and a suitable horse will be chosen by our friendly staff.

The riding trails trek up and down beautiful foothills through native bushland and creek crossings, all below the scenic mountain range south of Dargo.

Sit back, relax and enjoy a wholesome cooked lunch before a leisurely ride back to the horse yards, or for the more adventurous a ride to remember!

One Hour Trail

Includes a two one hour return trip, arriving by 10.30am, ride departs 11.00am, lunch between 12noon & 1.00pm, ride departs 1.30pm and arrives back at the horse yards approximately 2.30pm.

Includes two one & a half hour return trips, arriving by 10.00am, ride departs 10.30am, lunch between 12noon & 1.00pm, ride departs 1.30pm and arrives back at the horse yards approximately 3.00pm.

Two Hour Trail

Includes two, two hour return trip, arriving by 9.30am, ride departs 10.00am, lunch between 12noon & 1.00pm, ride departs 1.30pm and arrives back at the horse yards approximately 3.30pm.

Group Sizes

Minimum of six, maximum eighteen.  Level of riding experience to be confirmed prior to ride.

Riding Attire

Long comfortable pants, heeled boots, we supply boots also & helmets.

Location

Rides depart from the horse yards at Coonawarra Farm Resort, 3545 Bairnsdale-Dargo Road, Glenaladale.  From Bairnsdale drive approximately 30 min. traveling through Lindenow, heading towards Dargo, we are opposite the Mitchell River National Park.  From Sale head towards Bairnsdale, drive 20kms past Stratford, turn left at the Dargo Road turnoff and follow signs to Coonawarra Farm Resort.
